How can nutrition impact your life?

When the body receives poor or inadequate nutrition, whether this be through a low nutrient dense intake or nutrient malabsorption (through poor absorption) this can impact the body in a number of different ways. The most obvious and researched way is obesity leading to cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. However inadequate nutrition can also lead to:

  • Iron deficiency anaemia (reduced iron absorption)

  • B12 anaemia (Reduced vitamin B12, B6 or folate absorption)

  • The trigger of autoimmune diseases

  • Anorexia

  • Persistent or frequent colds or viruses

  • Fatigue, brain fog and poor memory recall

  • Dry, flaky and bumpy skin

  • Brittle and breaking hair and nails

  • Spots, ridges, discolouration or pitting on nails
